GAVIN KELLY - GOALKEEPER. BORN - 29/9/68
Vastly experienced keeper who made numerous football league appearances with Bristol Rovers and Hull City. Other clubs include Harrogate Town and Bradford PA, but recent seasons have seen Gavin as one of the consistent figures behind Town's success. Picked up a couple of injuries last season, but still one of the best around.

CRAIG SUDDABY - DEFENDER - BORN 23/3/84
Progressed from Town's reserves 3 seasons ago to become one of the most consistent performers at the club. As well as picking up honours with Town, Craig also has England schoolboy caps to his name. He shows maturity beyond his years.

STEVE FISHER - DEFENDER - BORN 1/2/75
Joined summer 2004 from nearby North Ferriby. Performances in pre season were quickly noted by the faithful which will quickly make him a Town favourite. Apart from his defensive qualities, 'fish' scores from set pieces and distributes the ball well from defence.

STEVE HEATH - DEFENDER - BORN 15/11/77
Joined in 2003 from Alfreton Town. Former Tottenham junior who has also gained plenty of experience on the non-league circuit. Powerful tough tackling no nonsense player who gives 110% in every game.

LEE HARPER - DEFENDER - BORN 24/3/75
Club captain and one of the most influential and inspirational players at the club. Football league experience with Scarborough. Other clubs include Harrogate Town and North Ferriby. Missed half of last season due to injury, now back to fitness. 'Skip' often outscores his midfield teammates.

CARL GIBLIN - DEFENDER - BORN 18/10/84
Joined the Seasiders in 2003/4 from local football. Captained Town reserves to their highest ever league finish and into the Grays league cup final. Supporters player of the year in 2005.
STEPHEN COLIN SWALES - DEFENDER - BORN 26/12/73
Steve or 'Sacky' as is his nickname, weighs in at 10 stone 3 lbs and is 5 foot 8 inches tall. He works as a factory operative.
His previous clubs were Whitby town, Halifax town, Scarborough, Hull city and Reading. His move from Hull City to Reading commanded a £70,000 price tag. He signed for Pickering town in February 2004 and joined Bridlington town in 2005.
He can play in defence or midfield and his performance's so far for Town have shown him to be uncompromising in the tackle and have excellent vision and ability with his passing. Sacky is sure to become a cult figure with the Town faithful.
LIAM CATTERMOLE - DEFENDER - BORN 19/2/87
Liam weighs in at 11 stone and stands 5 foot 9 inches in height.
'Cats' has spent his football career with Hull city, from age 11.
He is an attacking defender who can play in a more forward role linking defence with the midfield and attack. He is strong in the tackle, passes intelligently and is aware of potential defensive danger or attacking opportunity, due to his tactical awareness.
CHRIS HYAM - DEFENDER - BORN 10/9/85
Chris weighs in at 11 stone and is 5 foot 9 inches in height.
He has spent his footballing career at Grimsby town, playing at under 14 level and signing at 16 years of age on yts forms.
'Hymes' is an attacking full back, who can bring the ball out of defence and set up an attack. He has great awareness and distributes the ball superbly.
Chris has played in all the friendlies and has proved what a great asset he is to the town squad.

SHAUN BAKER - MIDFIELD - BORN 19/9/78
Often an unsung hero in the centre of midfield. Town's tough tackling ball winner never shies from a tackle and is often referred to as a manager's dream. Links play superbly and creates many openings. The clubs vice captain who has been at Queensgate for 7 years.

MARTIN THACKER - MIDFIELD - BORN 20/9/80
Towns ball player and free kick expert. One of the most gifted players at the club. Has played with the regions other clubs, but has made the position his own at Queensgate. Second spell at the club and the creative link between midfield and attack.

STEVE UNDERWOOD - MIDFIELD - BORN 16/3/82
First full season at Queensgate in 2003/4. Joined in the second half of the season and soon adjusted to the pace. Reads play well and is a strong tackler. Previously at Hall road rangers

WAYNE LEWIS - MIDFIELD - BORN 30/12/67
Wayne's enthusiasm for the game never diminishes. Limited appearances last season, but could always be relied upon. Previously at Hall road rangers.

PAUL WILSON - MIDFIELD - BORN 22/9/80
Second spell at the club. Excellent left sided player who runs all day. Studying sports science and coaching in the USA. Has spent recent seasons at Colwyn Bay. Former Hull City junior

SEAN BLACK - MIDFIELD - BORN 2/1/85
Sean spent season 2004/2005 at Hall Road Rangers gaining experience. The strong attacking midfielder has an eye for goal and enjoys making surging runs forward.
JOE LIGHTOLWER - FORWARD - BORN 15/5/86
Joe weighs in at 12 stone 3 lbs and is 5 foot 7 inches in height.
He has spent his footballing career at Grimsby town, playing at under 15 level and signing at 16 years of age on yts forms. Before going to Grimsby, Joe had the option of signing for Aston villa or Manchester united. During his time at Blundell park, he scored over 30 goals. Joe is an attacker and a target man or someone who provides for others with neat flick on's or precise passing.
Joe has played in all the pre season friendlies and scored his first of what will be many goals for Bridlington town, in the game against Brodsworth. A firm header finding the back of the net.

James Tomlinson - Midfield

After spending all his footballing career to date at Hull City, This tallented 19 year old midfielder was snapped up by Billy Heath in October 2004. James had made plenty of Reserve appearances in the Pontins League for the Tigers before being released after nearly ten years at the club. Made Brid Town debut at Gateshead 23/10/04 and will be a tremendous assett to the Seasiders.

Mike Cooper 18 year old Midfielder.
Joined the Seasiders from North Ferriby United Autumn 2004. After coming on as substitute in his first few games for Town, "Coops" made an impressive starting debut at Gateshead in the Unibond Premier Division game where he was without doubt man of the match. Previously gained experience at Hull City after progressing through the Junior ranks

 

PAUL PALMER - FORWARD - BORN 28/1/79
Last seasons top scorer. Non stop effort and chasing sees the skilful striker defend from the front when opponents have the ball. More luck should see Paul achieve 20 goals this season.

MARK SWALES- FORWARD - BORN 27/3/83
Mark is the cousin of Steve and weighs in at 12 stone 7 lbs. He is 5 foot 10 inches tall. He works as a scaffolder.His previous clubs were Whitby town, Gateshead and Billingham synthonia. He signed for Pickering town in February 2004 and joined Bridlington town in 2005. He is a skilful midfield player that always gives 100%. He also likes to get into goal scoring positions and scored over 20 goals for Pickering town last season.
Mark has not played in the pre season friendlies yet due to injury, but should be fit enough to play for the start of the season.


SEB TOWSE - FORWARD - BORN 24/1/84
Seb signed from Pickering Town in 2005. The left sided attacking player scored 3 goals in 12 appearances for Pickering in 2004/2005. He shots on sight of goal and likes to run at defences.
