Bridlington Town AFC Pen Pics 2003/2004
GAVIN KELLY (Goalkeeper) Vastly experienced keeper whose previous clubs include Hull City, Bristol Rovers, Bradford Park Avenue and Harrogate Town. Joined his home Town club a few seasons ago and has been a key part of the climb up the pyramid.
DAVID BRAMLEY (Goalkeeper) Another local lad who has been with the club for a few years. Gained experience with Scarborough and as a teenager and made quite a few appearances for the 1st XI in the NCEL. Now pushing for a regular starting place.
CRAIG WARDALE (Goalkeeper) Signed again for Town after being the number one at Queensgate a few seasons ago.Has also played with NCEL side Hall Road Rangers and North Ferriby United.
ANDY THOMPSON (Full Back) Second season at Queensgate after joining midway through last season. Previous experience with North Ferriby United and Hall Road Rangers. Likes to get forward and get the crosses in after some powerful runs down the right flank.
ANDY TAYLOR (Full Back) Third season with Town. Tremendous pace and often pops up with a goal. Big crowd favourite at Queensgate. A kiwi who was responsible for teaching the lads their celebratory match winning song.
STEVE ROBINSON (Full Back) Joined at Start of last season and figured regularly in the NCEL Championship winning side. Previous experience at Hall Road Rangers.
SAM SHARMAN (Defender) Had spells with Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday. Also gained experience coaching in the USA. Joined Town last season after returning from the States.
NICK HOUGHTON (Defender) Can play at centre back or full back and has been used in a variety of positions. Former Hull City Junior and other experience at Goole and North
Ferriby.
LEE HARPER (Defender) Club Captain and commanding Centre back who inspires his team mates with regular outstanding displays. Player of the Season last term and regularly gets amongst the goals when he joins the attack.
LEE JACKSON (Defender) Plucked from East Riding County League to form impressive partenership with Captain at heart of defence. Back to fitness after struggling with one or two injuries at the end of last season. Third year at the club
CRAIG SUDDABY (Defender) Former Hull City Junior. England Schools International After
breaking into the side two seasons ago, Craig has been a regular member of the squad and was the young player of the season last term. Still only 19 and a looks to have a good future ahead of him.
STEPHEN HEATH (Defender) Former England Schoolboy International. Brother of Manager Billy. Close season Capture from last seasons Unibond Division One Champions Alfreton Town. Plenty of Unibond Leagiue experience and tough tackling no nonsense defender.
PAUL FARLEY (Midfield) Another close season signing. Hull based "Charlie" will add to Town's options with attacking runs down the left. Previously with North Ferriby United. A tremendous aquisition for The Seasiders and his experience will be invaluable this season.
MARTIN THACKER (Midfield) Tremendous ball player whose skill and vision link play. Regularly appears on the score sheet and can be lethal from set pieces. Previously with Hall Road Rangerss and was on Hull City's books as a junior.
SHAUN BAKER (Midfield) Town's general in the centre of the park. The ball winner who will work non stop for the team. Shaun's distribution can set up attacks with defence splitting passes. Had speels with Goole and Hall Road Rangers in the
NCEL.
STUART BALDWIN (Midfield) New signing for Town's first season back in the Unibond. Leeds based Stuart was a target for Town manager Billy Heath last term and has now joined to bolster Town's ranks. Spent last season at NCEL side Goole FC.
DAVID INGRAM (Midfield) Second spell at Queensgate. Signed form Humber Premier League side Sculcoates two years ago. Departed for Hall Road Rangers but returned to regain a place in the side for the second half of last season and scored one of the goals of the season in the final home game.
CRAIG BURDICK (Midfield) Another with Hall Road Rangers connections. Second spell with Town. A huge favourite with the fans who can score some great goals. Tremendous pace that causes panick in opponents defences. Can also play on the front line if needed but best used wide right.
WAYNE LEWIS (Midfield) The evergreen Lewi has had a new lease of life since coming to Brid Two years ago from Hall Road.. Was instrumental in Town's back to back promotions. Serious injury last season saw him miss the run in after undergoing a number of operations. Fighting back to fitness now.
KIRK BLAKE (Midfield) Joined midway through last season from Humber Premier League Champions Reckitts. Managed to get a hamdful of 1st XI appearances in for Town before the end of the season.
MATTHEW SALVIDGE (Midfield) Joined last season after previously being with Hall Road Rangers. Made tremendous contributions to the side when called upon and figured regularly in the second half of the season, picking up a number of man of the match awards.
DANNY DRAYTON (Striker) Signed towards the end of last season from Humber Premeir League outfit Sculcoates Amateurs. Danny was quickly off the mark to find the net on a few occasions and will be aiming to be among the goals this year. Previous winner of Humber Premier Golden Boot Award.
JASON HARRIS (Striker) Joined this summer after spending last season at NCEL rivals Goole. Has twice moved clubs for five figure sums. Plenty of Football League experience with a number of Clubs including Hull City, Southend Utd, Orient and Preston North End. Agreat aquisition for Town.
PHIL HARRISON (Striker) Hull based "Phillo" has been at the club for three or four years. Tremendously quick feet that can tantalise defenders. Regularly amongst the goals but can also play out wide when asked. Non Stop work rate and never gives less than 100%.
KEVIN SMITH (Striker) Summer 2003 signing from last seasons FA Cup underdogs Harrogate Railway. Caught the eye with powerful performances against Town in the NCEL and will make a big impact this term. Another tremendous addition to the squad.
PAUL PALMER (Striker) Third Season with Brid. Previously with North Ferriby and Hall Road Rangers. Paul's goals have contributed to Town's successes of recent years but it is his work rate that creates not only chances for himself but also for others.
MATTHEW
EDESON. (Striker) Second spell at Bridlington. Previously at Hull City and breaking into the side as a teenager. Other clubs include Hall Road Rangers, Barton Town, Goole. Capable of scoring spectacular goals and producing dazzling skill.
