Referee BJ Tattan - Liverpool
Once again Bridlington Town conceded late goals to lose out despite playing good football. Johnson opened the scoring for Hyde but Town rallied late in the first half and got a deserved leveller early in the second half through Ingram. Wayne Dean regained the lead for Hyde but this also saw an injury to Town keeper Chris Hill who was stretchered off. Jamie Richards took over in goal but Hyde added a third in stoppage time.
After a good start from Town, Hyde took the lead on thirteen minutes. A cross from the right was misjudged by Chris Hill and with him on the floor and out of position the ball came back in for Johnson to slot home. Mid way through the half Baker took a knock and was replaced by Burdick and Town started to make inroads, though Hyde were always dangerous with long balls for their tall front men. Bridlington took the game to their hosts and came close on 35 minutes when Jamie Richards had two attemts, the second being palmed over by Hyde keeper Mullock.
Town carried on the second half as they finished the first and got the equaliser early. Palmer crossed and Richards laid the ball into the path of Dave Ingram who fired home from the edge of the box. Town were playing the better football and Hyde were still looking for long ball breaks but Town defended these well until the last five minutes approached. A ball down the right saw McNeill evade three tackles to get to the byline to cross. As everyone went in for the ball Wayne Dean got the touch to net on 84 minutes but the challenge saw Town keeper Chris Hill injured and stretchered off. Jamie Richards took over in goal and Town brought on their remaining subs as they looked to level again. But Hyde broke forwards through Dealany and he got clear to shoot but hit the post. Town failed to clear fully and Delany regathered to round Richards and slot home for Hydes third goal in stoppage time.
